Since I can remember art has been a passion of mine and I enjoy exploring new ways, in which I can express myself. I love to share this interest of mine with others and I find that face painting is a good way of doing so. While I was in college studying art history and fine arts, I started an Art Club at my church for children in the community of South Deering on the south east side of Chicago. Although this group no longer exist, one of my future goals is to start an after school art program in a low-income community such as South Deering.
My professional work is in higher education but my love for art and children has allowed me to practice face painting for five years. If my art can brighten up a person's face - no pun intended - then I will continue to do it for as long as I can <3
In addition to art, I love to travel, read, and eat! I also have a particular interest in human rights issues, especially women issues so during my free time I try to find volunteer work that is good for the soul.
